Planned Database Maintenance – 08/23/2008 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (GMT)

oDesk.com will be down for approximately one hour of scheduled maintenance on Saturday, August 23rd. We plan to start at 12:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM GMT, and complete by 1:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM GMT.

During the maintenance window you can continue to log time to the last team you were logged into – your oDesk Team client will cache the time, memos and screenshots, and will upload to the server when the connection is restored.

If you need to work for a different team, keep in mind that you may add offline time later.

If you do work through the maintenance window, please check your Work Diary after oDesk.com resumes service to make any necessary adjustments.

UPDATE: we entered maintenance at 12:09 PM PST – thus far, everything is proceeding according to the plan.
UPDATE 2: we exited maintenance at 12:56 PM – this concludes our maintenance for today. Thanks!


Intermittent Downtime – 2008/08/01 @ 15:36 GMT

Due to unexpected load on the servers the oDesk site and time-logging has been intermittently down since around 7:36 am PST (15:36 GMT). We do understand the difficulties that unscheduled downtime creates for your work and for the ability to log your time and we are very sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

We are working as fast as possible to resolve all issues.
