Update: maintenance has been completed, but we ran into problems when trying to bring the service back online – as a result, users may have experienced difficulties around 21:00 GMT. We are monitoring to ensure all issues are resolved.
oDesk.com will be unavailable for two separate maintenance intervals this weekend in order to perform scheduled maintenance.
During the first maintenance window, on Saturday, October 31, odesk.com will be unavailable for approximately one hour at 15:00 GMT (8:00 am PDT)
On Sunday, November 1, we will have a second maintenance window, where odesk.com will be periodically unavailable between 16:00-21:00 GMT (8:00am-1:00pm PST). For those who observe Daylight Savings Time, please note these times reflect the change to Standard Time on November 1.
The approximate timeline for this second site maintenance is downtime from 16:00-16:40 GMT (8:00-8:40am PST), and again from 19:00-21:00 GMT (11:00am-1:00pm PST). Our goal is to complete the entire sequence as early as possible, so the second period of downtime may start earlier than planned. We’ll do our best to keep users informed via the maintenance blog and the on-site messaging.
During these maintenance windows, you can continue to log time to the last team you were logged into – your oDesk Team app will cache the time, memos, and screenshots, and will automatically upload them to the server when the connection is restored.
If you need to work for a different team during these times, please keep in mind that you may discuss with your buyer the possibility of logging offline time in this instance.
