Sometime during the time window of 19:00-20:30 PM GMT (11:00 AM-12:30 PM PST) our site will be unavailable for a few minutes. During this time, our typical “site down for maintenance” message will not be displayed, but you will be able to continue to log time to the last team you were logged into – your oDesk Team app will cache the time, memos, and screenshots, and automatically upload them to the server when the connection is restored.

If you need to work for a different team during this time, please keep in mind that you may discuss with your buyer the possibility of logging offline time in this instance.

Maintenance Window #1 – 10/31/2009 15:00-16:00 GMT (08:00-09:00 PDT)
Maintenance Window #2 – 11/1/2009 16:00-21:00 GMT (08:00-1:00 PST)

Update: maintenance has been completed, but we ran into problems when trying to bring the service back online – as a result, users may have experienced difficulties around 21:00 GMT. We are monitoring to ensure all issues are resolved.

oDesk.com will be unavailable for two separate maintenance intervals this weekend in order to perform scheduled maintenance.

During the first maintenance window, on Saturday, October 31, odesk.com will be unavailable for approximately one hour at 15:00 GMT (8:00 am PDT)

On Sunday, November 1, we will have a second maintenance window, where odesk.com will be periodically unavailable between 16:00-21:00 GMT (8:00am-1:00pm PST). For those who observe Daylight Savings Time, please note these times reflect the change to Standard Time on November 1.

The approximate timeline for this second site maintenance is downtime from 16:00-16:40 GMT (8:00-8:40am PST), and again from 19:00-21:00 GMT (11:00am-1:00pm PST). Our goal is to complete the entire sequence as early as possible, so the second period of downtime may start earlier than planned. We’ll do our best to keep users informed via the maintenance blog and the on-site messaging.

oDesk.com will be unavailable for about 1 hour beginning 02:00 GMT, Friday, December 19, 2008 (Thursday, December 18, 6:00PM PST). This is one day later than the usual maintenance window; we are postponing it due to a holiday event at the oDesk office (yes, we do get to party too) so instead of the usual Thursday morning (GMT) window we will perform the maintenance on Friday 02:00 GMT.

We will be using this time to roll out the new user interface that will make it easier to find things and navigate where you need to go.
